SUMMARY:Oregon Region: Hawaii Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Join us and Big Island Hawaii Region for a Driving Tour on the Big Island and two dinners. \nThe drive is starting in Waikoloa Village\, traveling up to Mauna Kea Park via the saddle between the mountains of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa\, then down to Kona for pizza picnic lunch at Old Airport in Kona. This is a joint drive and social with members of Big Island club. \n\n\nThis is an opportunity to see some of the Big Island through the eyes of another Porsche Club. Driving a Porsche is not required\, it’s a social event and chance to enjoy the sun and surf before the rains set in back home in Oregon. Rent the car of your choice and join in the fun. \n\n\nBuild your own weekend or vacation around the Saturday drive and picnic with BIHPCA. Toast to new friends and long-time enthusiasts with dinners at Tommy Bahama’s on Friday\, Nov. 7 and at Pueo’s Osteria at Waikoloa Plaza on Sunday\, Nov. 9. \nBook your flights and secure accommodations near Waikoloa Beach area for as little or long as you please. Accommodations in the area includes Marriott and Hilton properties\, timeshares and condos\, and more. \nThe Hawaii Adventure has three separate registrations:\n\nSaturday Drive\, Nov. 9 – Big Island\, HI – no charge\nFriday Dinner\, Nov. 8 – Tommy Bahama’s\, Waimea\, HI – $120/person\nSunday Dinner\, Nov. 10 – Pueo’s Osteria\, Waikoloa Plaza – $110/person\n\n\n  \nEvent Organizer: Dan Morris \n  \nSaturday Drive Event Stats: \nNumber of Groups: 2 groups of 12\nTotal Miles: 94\nTotal Drive Time: 2 hours 15 minutes \nDigital Navigation Support: \nRidewithGPS: Instructions will be provided to attendees with Driving Directions. \nRegistration Information: \nRegistration opens September 10 at 7:00 p.m. and will close October 31 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator\, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator\, just mark the navigator question as N/A. \nThe start location\, time\, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants.
